this is the story of a girl

The cool thing about items featuring drawings of girls, is that you can often find one to your liking because it seems to tell your story. Which is the coolest thing about The Rabbiteur, whose shoes are painted with such fantastical images of girls that there's definitely one that represents you. She also has other designs not of female characters, such as the the retro Rabbit Feet (bottom left) and Little Red Dots (bottom right). Oh and if you can't get enough of her existing designs, she happens to offer customisation too!

It's a breeze infusing your wardrobe with little pieces of french femininity, with these dainty little accessories from Melo Supermarket. Products range from hair clips to pocket mirrors, bracelets to pouches - and even cute yet functional pencil rolls!

little thatched roofs

These miniature houses measure about 3 by 1 1/2 inches on average and are a little crooked to add to their quirkiness. Plus, such creativity stems from making good use of only recycled, upcycled and vintage materials. Found at My Whimsy Creations by Amy Larson.

Decoylab Design Studio combines traditional graphic design, art, illustration, motion graphics and interactive design to create many delightful art posters and other home decor pieces. I like in particular, the clocks that are made out of especially sturdy paper and the lovely patterns that are etched on it.

feed the dog a cushion

Having a striking cushion cover can make all the difference to an otherwise ordinary looking couch or bed and certainly adds to the comfort level! Feed the Dog is a good idea as a stop for limited edition, some one of a kind, cushion covers made from natural fabrics, which are hand-made with techniques using screenprints, lino prints, topstitching and applique.

It's relatively uncommon to see plushies of human beings as opposed to cute animals or food items, and Sweet and Sour Goodies manages to make them as adorable, and possibly even more so! Each plushie comes with a unique getup, and with so many different personalities, there is definitely one that is perfect for the one you have in mind.

Em and Sprout gives a whole new take on the meaning of cute shoes, quite literally. Simple footwear is embellished with sparkles, fabric and felt to create cute little personalities for your feet. And yes they are for adults! The only trouble is having the guts to wear them out of the house as they are sure to invite looks! Oh and custom orders are accepted too.

While lighting appliances may tend to be overlooked as being less important in decorating, a truly discerning decorator will know the beauty and value of picking out a signature piece of lighting. At Niche Modern, one can find hand blown glass light pendants, and no two are exactly the same. They are available in various shapes depending on the theme of your place, and also come in attractive and modern translucent hues. While the prices may be a little steep, it's only to be expected for such futuristic yet hand made glass items.

Jaime Zollars' painting is reminiscent  of fairy tales and nursery rhymes, with the bold palette of colours and fantastical imagery. You can find her work in a variety of print sizes and silkscreen pieces or if you like, they are available as greeting cards too.
