needing needlings

Needlings is not only the name of the shop but also the name of its special range of handmade felt plushies. Each come with their own unique story, which can be found on their attached ID tags with their names and picture too - what a cute idea! There is also a full range of accessories like those above

hi. and by hi i mean roar.

These quirky stationery and prints from Michelle Alynn surely epitomises 'cute'! Even though monsters are supposed to be scary, she depicts them in such a way that even their weirdness becomes adorable. And yay to vibrant colours!

what wood would

For the love of miniatures, there are these well-made, all natural wood toys and figurines by Woodmouse Loves Wood. All the items are made by one very talented woman, from the design to the cutting and burning processes. And what delightful forms these miniatures are in, like the miniature mixer and gumball machines!

light lighting lit

I'm liking the idea of light switch covers, especially when it comes with such vibrant pictures! Joanna Goldman has been making them for over 3 years, and you can request for any of the available print designs in her shop to be converted into a light switch cover. A great idea if you are running out of space for prints but still want that coveted design on your wall. Her etsy shop here.

tempting threads

I admire people who have a way with fabric, like Kendall of Tootie Estelle. All her items are handmade from original patterns, and vary extensively from homewares such as pillows and coasters, to lavender sachets and eye pillows, to bags and pouches. And with such charming fabric too!

stop playing with your food

With these special handpainted plates from
Tasica Singleton, meal times will never be a bore! Even the blandest food would be more than palatable, as you hurry to gobble it down fast enough to give you more time to admire the poetry and artwork on these dinnerware pieces.

the right accent

Having a social event coming up has made me ponder about bag choices, and the pretty clutches from Muchacha K come to mind as being perfect for a night out (like the one on the right). The clutches are custom made designs so you may take your pick of fabric from available design. On the left are fabric jewelry rolls intended for safekeeping precious accessories, but I dare say they would make pretty purses too!

well, hello there!

Claire Payne is one talented felt artist, with her cute take on felt plushies, keychains, brooches and ipod cases. I cannot for one, resist the cheeky grins of her 'fruity faces' (above) and her miniature russian dolls for brooches.

colours and action

I am rather taken with the refreshingly cheery and interesting subject matters of the prints and notecards available at
Creative Apples. They are derived from original photographs of cupcakes galore, robots and other toys and the beauty of nature. I do love the ample choice of yummy cupcakes in various lighting, and of course that cute Superman profile (tee hee).

because we're stylish, hun

These range of prints available at Plasterdoll is a fresh new twist on fashion illustration! They are of original illustrations that are based on actual designer duds as seen on the catwalk, but modeled by cute Plasterdolls instead. For interesting commentary on how these 'fashion shoots' were taken, check out her blog here

declaring bankruptcy

Cabin + cub has uber gorgeous art and stationery items, and I was hard-pressed to choose just a few to feature. Its goodies are created with techniques such as woodburning, collage and gocco. Being already broke, I am trying hard to fight the urge to add all these stuff to my cart so instead I'm spreading the love here by sharing this treasure trove with you (sigh).

masters of disguise

Handmade from fleece and felt, these Mr Beardsley plushies resemble monkeys and come with their unique choice of disguise - one tug and the hat and beard come off! This is such a cute, refreshing idea, and I get so tickled every time I look at a poor Mr Beardsley looking rather vulnerable without its disguise. These and more available at Intimidnation by Laura Granlund.

poppity pop

Currently loving:  Pop art styled paper collages by Amocro. It's amazing how she creates such a vibrant retro feel just by using coloured paper. (She is also offering custom pop art portraits. Retro fever lives!)

just purrfect

Motivated by the lack of variety of cat products available in regular pet stores, Jake and Micah was established to provide a different and selective mix of cat products for discerning cats and their owners. There, you can find toys in all shapes and sizes, and collars and bandanas that will make your cat look like a fashionista itself.
