busy as a bee

Instant Gerbera by Swilton

Again apologies for the lack of updates. After long weeks of exams I have immediately plunged head-first into the working world. Allow me to get my bearings in the meantime, but I really cant wait to start posting regularly again!

Meanwhile though, isn't there something quite appealing about this simple shot of a lone but cheery Gerbera?

a fresh serenity

Professional photographer Jennifer of Jennifer Squires Productions recently emailed me about her new range photographs taken in Greece. I like how she manages to capture the unique architectural landscape of Greece in a soft, romantic light. Her website and etsy shop here.

post vacation laziness

Know the feeling after a nice little vacay in which you did absolutely nothing and just chilled? Yes, you don't really feel like getting back into the normal swing of things right away, like I'm feeling now. But I promise to get right back to normal blogging real soon! As soon as I erm, laze around just a bit more.

what shall it be today?

Lovely pastel-toned cups of dessert that are artfully arranged make for a real good shot and some much needed cheer.

bitten

By the travel bug, that is. Doesn't this interesting angle of a famous landmark make you want to pack up your bags and see the rest of the world too?

starkly does it

I admire the way each individual component (the beautiful wall art and that dress!) was cleverly combined and the manipulation of light for that moody, poetic effect.

new every morning

What a great way to start a day, and not just on a Monday!

soft hues and dreamscapes

I'm liking the soft lighting and the element of dreaminess in this shot.

feeling kinda bubbly

There's something about the fleetingness of this moment, that makes this picture ever so precious.

99 red balloons go by

Somehow this picture manages to convey what I'm feeling right now, though perhaps not quite as originally intended.

what a day for a daydream

What a day for a daydream
What a day for a daydreamin' boy
And I'm lost in a daydream
Dreamin' bout my bundle of joy

And even if time ain't really on my side
It's one of those days for takin' a walk outside
I'm blowin' the day to take a walk in the sun
And fall on my face on somebody's new-mowed lawn

taking time out for tea

Because this blog is about all that is visually-appealing, currently I'm yearning to chill out in cool and new cafes, sipping my beverage of choice, while enjoying my time between reading my book, toying with my macbook, or just people-watching.
