pippin goodness

I'm partial to felt food that look good enough for the eating, but the practical side of me hesitate to get cute-looking felt items that I don't actually have any use for. In this case though, Pippin Designs combine the appeal of felt food with the utility of brooches to equate quirky accessories goodness!

flora and fauna

Alena Hennessy is an artist whose is hugely influenced by nature and this is beautifully reflected in her array of products that range from prints and paintings, to feminine apparel and totes, even to home furnishings like pillow cases.

The bright white bird sculpture (top left) is available in various colours and may be suspended from the ceiling - which I think will look great especially if you have an empty spot in your house that has a particularly high ceiling. Top right - Milla sea + sky tote bag, and Growth (wall art) (bottom right). Scarves generally look about the same to me, but certainly not this one! - bottom left, the organic Flora Scarf.

fun, accessories, and charity too!

Stitchpixie is a one-woman enterprise that offers vinyl bags of all sizes and types from coin pouches to wristlets to messenger bags that are heavily retro, and a collection of fun and colourful jewellery. And who says dressing up is always self-centred? Here, fashion mingles with charity as 10% of every purchase goes towards sponsoring a child in Zambia. Now that's a good reason to shop!

Clockwise from left: (1) Monster coin pouches; (2) Sno cone earrings; (3) Fertility pouches (oh my!); (4) Cherry necklace.

vintage-y swatches

If you are a fan of vintage images and unorthodox paper goods, then Art School Girl is the perfect place for you. I went ga-ga over their range of cards that incorporate original vintage book-clippings, and their note sets with envelopes made from the pages of vintage books. Also pictured, bookmarks made with vintage book art (top right), and the perpetual datebook calender (bottom left), featuring a different modified vintage image for each month.

taking time out for tea

Because this blog is about all that is visually-appealing, currently I'm yearning to chill out in cool and new cafes, sipping my beverage of choice, while enjoying my time between reading my book, toying with my macbook, or just people-watching.

a breezy kind of chic

Kaliber is fashion designer based in Berlin, Germany, and all her pieces exude a vibe that is relaxed yet chic. I especially like the interesting shape of the circular shoulder bag, of which you can find in various fabrics and colours.

tasty treats

As the title of the blog suggests, I'm very much into hunting down finds that would be a feast for the eyes, but am also particularly partial when they are food-related. Like the accessories crafted by
CoXLiNeTTe, who hails from France and uses polymer clay to replicate various colourful confectionaries, such as french macaroons for handphone accessories (left), and swirly candy for earrings and others (right).
